About DigLibSIG	English (USA)
DigLibSIG is for discussion of Information Technology in NZ libraries. It is the discussion list for the Digital Library Special Interest Group of the Library and Information Association of New Zealand/Aotearoa. You don't have to be a member of the SIG or of LIANZA to subscribe (though it would be nice if you became a member of both!). You need to be subscribed in order to post messages. Subscriptions have to be approved by the list owner. This means that if you want to stop receiving messages for a while, it's better to disable mail delivery ("unsubscribe or edit options", below) rather than unsubscribe and if your email address changes, it's better to change your subscribed email address ("unsubscribe or edit options", below) rather than unsubscribe and resubscribe. Send messages in plain text, without attachments. Don't include images - for example the logo in your signature file. Miscellaneous policies Messages to DigLibSIG should not advertise products and services, unless they are directly relevant to IT and libraries, and then should be occasional and informative. Comments made about people, products or organisations should be considered and responsible, and not defamatory. Messages to DigLibSIG can't be recalled/deleted once sent. Messages to DigLibSIG are the responsibility of the original sender. The list owner and Victoria University have no control over messages sent to the list. Please don't post copyright material to the list without the permission of the copyright holder. Using DigLibSIG
To post a message to all the list members, send email to diglibsig@lists.vuw.ac.nz. To join the list, send email to DigLibSIG-subscribe@lists.vuw.ac.nz, or contact ITS Service Desk on 04 463 5050. If your address is for example a yahoo or gmail address which is not obviously associated with a library, please also email DigLibSIG-owner@lists.vuw.ac.nz with a note of your role in libraries, to prove that you are not a spambot. You can change your existing subscription in the section below.
