NZ-Libs-Jobs is an email distribution list for postings about jobs in NZ libraries and information services, for example: job advertisements, job exchanges, and librarians seeking work.
Recruitment agencies advertising library jobs should (preferably) ask someone at their client library to post the job vacancy, or subscribe to the list in order to post.
For general discussion of NZ libraries and information services, use NZ-Libs.
You need to be subscribed in order to post messages. Subscriptions have to be approved by the list owner. This means that (a) it is helpful if you show you're not a spambot by giving a real name as well as your email address (b) if you want to stop receiving messages for a while, it's better to disable mail delivery ("unsubscribe or edit options", below) rather than unsubscribe (c) if your email address changes, it's better to change your subscribed email address ("unsubscribe or edit options", below) rather than unsubscribe and resubscribe.
Post messages in plain text, without attachments. If you wish to include detailed job descriptions, logos, etc, consider posting a brief description with a link to a full advertisement on a website. Subject lines should include a descriptive job title and location. Consider also posting jobs to LIANZA's job search page.
Messages to NZ-Libs are the responsibility of the original sender. The list owner and Victoria University have no control over messages sent to the list.
If you are subscribed to NZ-Libs-Jobs, but can't post messages, it probably means you're sending messages from a different email address than the one subscribed - check your subscription below.
