I have a wee question. I'm wondering if folks on this list know of any literature/empirical work that looks specifically at the ways in which Grad Certs are interdisciplinary - both in terms of their design as well as the experience for the academic participants. I am particularly interested in the ways that participants in these programs might report that an outcome has been that they approach their own teaching and subject design in more interdisciplinary ways.

And more generally, I am intrigued by the question: what exactly is interdisciplinary about Grad Certs? In what ways might an interdisciplinary learning context (ie GCert) translate to an approach to teaching and student learning that is characterised by interdisciplinarity?

I'm keen to hear ideas. If people want me to collate and post a list of refs -- happy to do that too.
