<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">As part of the 50th anniversary celebration
at Monash last year (</font><a href=http://www.calt.monash.edu.au/Quality/sclt.html><font size=2 face="sans-serif">http://www.calt.monash.edu.au/Quality/sclt.html</font></a><font size=2 face="sans-serif">),
we had a week of events in the first week of October called Educate08.</font>

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Educate 08 was coordinated by the Office
of DVC (Education) and it included a whole day 'conference style' event
organised/hosted by CALT (</font><a href=http://www.monash.edu.au/teaching/vcshowcase/><font size=2 face="sans-serif">http://www.monash.edu.au/teaching/vcshowcase/</font></a><font size=2 face="sans-serif">),
public lectures and debates. There were also other "Learning and Teaching
Showcase" events which held in different campuses, spread over a number
of months (</font><a href=http://www.calt.monash.edu.au/showcase/caltshowcase.html><font size=2 face="sans-serif">http://www.calt.monash.edu.au/showcase/caltshowcase.html</font></a><font size=2 face="sans-serif">).</font>

<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">Last year's success has resulted in
the decision to have Educate09 which is currently being finalised by ODVCE,
and it will include the whole-day VC's Showcase event. The "Learning
and Teaching Showcase" series has started (</font><a href=http://www.calt.monash.edu.au/showcase/caltshowcase.html><font size=2 face="sans-serif">http://www.calt.monash.edu.au/showcase/caltshowcase.html</font></a><font size=2 face="sans-serif">).</font>
