Hi everyone,

The dates for this years Foundations Colloquium have been set for
Tuesday October 23 and Wednesday October 24 here in Melbourne. RMIT is
hosting the event on behalf of the colloquia and the event details can
be found at http://www.flinders.edu.au/teach/foundations/colloquium.htm

I am currently finalising the two day program and would like to ensure
that the key issues that are emerging from your experiences in
delivering Foundations and Graduate Certificate programs are given ample
coverage during the event.

There will be two sessions relating to the Preparing Academics to Teach
in Higher Education (PATHE) Carrick Project which builds on and is
informed by existing concepts developed in previous Foundations
Colloquia. I have also received emails that have requested an
exploration of assessment practices within Foundations and Grad Cert
programs.

If there are other topics and/or guest speakers you would like to
suggest for this event could you please let me know at
bronwyn.robinson at rmit.edu.au before the end of June. I would like to
have the final program on the website in early July.

We are capping attendance for this event to 50 participants and would
like organisations to limit participants to no more than 2 people. I
would particularly like to recommend this event to those of you who are
new to this area. It is an informal but highly focused event and I can
guarantee that you will benefit from the supportive network that the
colloquia provides.

If you have any questions relating to the colloquium please feel free
to contact me at the above email address or by phone on 03 9925 4984.

Kind regards,
Bronwyn
