Greetings all.
As the editor of the HERDSA Guide series, I am seeking your input to the
revision of the Tutoring Guide.
Kathryn Sutherland is working with Jackie Lublin, the author of the original
edition on revising the Guide and in the appendices we are listing some
resources. To ensure we have the best and most current (and find all those
hidden treasures) we are asking you to provide us with some of best
resources and we will compile a list from your offerings. Of course we
cannot list them all so we apologise in advance if your offerings do not
make it into the final Guide).
If you have two or three good suggestions, please forward them to me and I
will pass them on to the authors. Print resources are preferable but
websites are ok too.
The resources are listed under the following headings which match
chapters/sections in the Guide. Remember the Guide is about tutoring.
*First day of class
*Discussion
*Questioning
*Potential problems and possible solutions (classroom management)
*Assessment, marking and feedback (particularly the latter two)
*Instructional media
*Online tutoring
*Reflecting on your teaching
*Further Reading, References & Websites on Learning and Teaching in Tertiary
Education (general T&L books)
Many thanks for your help.
Cheers
Allan
