[Foundations] Foundations Colloquium 2008 - James Cook University Townsville

Dear Foundations Colleagues, 

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to participate in the 2008 Foundations Colloquium, proudly hosted by the Teaching and Learning Development Unit at James Cook University, Townsville, Queensland.

The purpose of this first e-mail is to advise you that we have set 29 and 30 September as the dates for this year’s Colloquium. We feel that a Colloquium in Townsville in October might be a bit warm!!

Planning for the Colloquium is currently underway and we are looking into venue options and an exciting dinner opportunity which will showcase the local Townsville environment. 

We are also hoping to put together an exciting, interactive, collaborative and engaging two day program. To assist us with that process, could you please let us know as soon as possible if there is a particular theme that you would like addressed, if there are any special keynote speakers that you would like to hear from and if you have any ideas for sessions that you would like to run or be involved in running.  We are also very keen to ensure that there are opportunities for updates and discussions on Carrick Projects that are currently underway so please send us those details as well so we can factor them into our program.
