[Foundations] Books used for staff induction/Foundations ofUniversity Teaching

Hi Tilly et al

We laon participants 'Teaching for quality learning at university' (2nd ed)
and Maureen Bell's HERDSA guide, 'Peer observation partnerships ...'. I am
interested to see that some colleagues are using Phil Race's work (having
just sat in on his sessions at Leeds Metropolitan University). We also
provide a collection of 11 readings. We're certainly interested in what
others are using, and how we might modify what we are doing.

Hi all

We're on the hunt for a replacement academic staff induction text/s.  For
several years, new USC staff have received copies of Murphy E. 1998,
Lecturing at University, CEA Publications, Curtin University. (new teaching
staff) and Bertola, P. & Murphy, E., 1994, Tutoring at University, CEA
Publications, Curtin University. (new teaching staff and sessionals).  These
are no longer in print.

I'd be thankful for responses as to what text/s you use/recommend.  I'll
compile a summary of responses at the end of October and circulate back to
the lists.
