Where an educative response is appropriate, the focus is on supporting learning: helping students understand what has occurred, develop relevant skills, and reduce the likelihood of future issues. Educative Measures should still be recorded in AIMS, where they are logged as educative interventions rather than academic misconduct.

If additional learning support would be helpful for the student, referrals to Student Learning should be made via AIMS through the referral function<https://vstream.au.panopto.com/Panopto/Pages/Viewer.aspx?id=812863a7-56b5-4706-acce-b0520064ef4e>. Where resubmission is required, it is helpful to include a clear timeframe.

When a concern needs to be addressed under the Academic Misconduct Procedure, please log the case in AIMS and assign via AIMS<https://vstream.au.panopto.com/Panopto/Pages/Viewer.aspx?id=b36cb72d-601c-429d-b156-b052005bc09b> to the HoS or delegate.

Once cases are concluded, please ensure outcomes are entered and the case is marked as complete in AIMS. For academic misconduct cases addressed by the HoS an outcome email with final findings should be sent.

Consistent use of these processes supports fairness across the University, helps students learn with confidence, and supports the value of our degrees.
