Following on from our successful August session on From Dusty Drafts to Published Papers, we’re pleased to announce September's Research Out Loud session, "If I was you I'd just...." introducing the basics of coaching

Academic work combines specialist expertise with autonomy, competing priorities and increasingly complex responsibilities. A coaching approach can be very useful in this environment - it creates space to think rather than immediately supplying solutions. It emphasizes reflection, personal responsibility and self-directed action. Spoiler  alert - it doesn't involve saying "If I was you, I'd just..." . Come and hear a coach give a taster session on the basics of coaching, and practice some techniques yourself. Online only and spaces limited on this one.
