The NZ-Libs email discussion group is for discussion of library and information services in New Zealand/Aotearoa. This includes: meeting and course announcements issues of general library or information management interest You need to be subscribed in order to post messages. Subscriptions have to be approved by the list owner. This means that if you want to stop receiving messages for a while, it's better to disable mail delivery (options, below) rather than unsubscribe. NOTE: Disposal lists should be posted to NZ-Libs-Acquisitions, and job adverts should be posted to NZ-Libs-Jobs. Miscellaneous policies: Messages to NZ-Libs should not advertise products or services, unless they are directly relevant to library and information work, and then should be occasional and informative. ("Relevant to library and information work" does not include materials on general subjects that might happen to be bought by libraries - in some circumstances it may be appropriate to post information about these to NZ-Libs-Acquisitions) Comments made about people, products or organisations should be considered and responsible, and not defamatory. Messages to NZ-Libs can't be recalled/deleted once sent. Messages to NZ-Libs are the responsibility of the original sender. The list owner and Victoria University have no control over messages sent to the list. Messages are archived on the public Knowledge Basket archive, so may be accessible by non-subscribers. Please don't post copyright material to the list without the permission of the copyright holder. Give the URL and a brief summary, rather than copy the entire document to the list. Post messages in plain text, without attachments. Don't include images - this includes the logo in your signature file. If you are subscribed to NZ-Libs, but can't post messages, it probably means you're sending messages from a different email address than the one subscribed - check your subscription below. Using NZ-Libs
To post a message to all the list members, send email to nz-libs@lists.vuw.ac.nz. To join the list, please send an email message to NZ-Libs-subscribe@lists.vuw.ac.nz. If your address is for example a yahoo or gmail address which is not obviously associated with a library, please also email NZ-Libs-owner@lists.vuw.ac.nz with a note of your role in libraries, to prove that you are not a spambot. You can change your existing subscription in the section below.
